Working

September 29, 2006

Its that time again: I am very busy at my own company. Its amazing how more and more people find their way to my company.

The thing that still strikes me as odd is that when I just started the company I created a budget to be used for advertising. After I couldn't feel the ads got me anything I stopped placing the ads.

Since stopping the placement of ads I have had more projects than I had before. Actually, none of my clients from the last 12 months has come to be through advertisements. They have almost all come to me because they found me online or had received my address from previous clients (best sign in the world, right?).

What I am learning from all of this? That its still more important to be great to your clients than make sure they notice your ads. And trust me, I have worked at many places before, this is not always the way it goes. I remember a small company from the Eindhoven region which was far from polite and respectful to the people who paid their bread.

Ah well. One hour to go and its weekend. My weekend is pretty stuffed, but in a positive way. Hope your is too. Have a great weekend!

All the best.

Clinton rules

September 25, 2006

When I woke up this morning and put on the news (my daily routine) the news showed an interview by Fox with former president Bill Clinton.

Clinton was asked the question why he didn't do anything to stop Osama Bin Laden whilst knowing Osama was a danger to America.

I think the interview by Fox was a big shame for the network. They have a chance to interview a former president. Not just any president. A president who was liked by the rest of the world (unlike that idiot called Bush) and they pull off this stupid stunt. And I found the reply of Clinton clean and clear.

It did however remind me why I watch less TV every day. Every channel seems to want to shock its viewers, hoping to keep the viewers attention. In the Netherlands they try to do this by having famous Dutch idiots do all kinds of stuff (dancing, ice-skating, travelling, the list goes on and on).

Wouldn't it be nice if the networks started putting their money into great shows and truthful news items? Maybe then I'll watch more than just the early morning news...

I think its time to hire the A-team...

All the best.

Valkenburg

September 20, 2006

Today me and Nadine have made a one-day trip to Valkenburg. And actually we may have picked the best day of the week to go there.

The weather was great, sunny but not too warm. Because it wasn't that busy we also got the best views at the ruins and in the caves.

We have visited the ruins of the castle on top of one of the mountains in Valkenburg. We have also visited the caves and have been to the old mines. Or well, they have build a replica of a real mine (those in the Netherlands aren't used anymore). In this replica you can experience a day in a mineworker's life. Impressive.

I will put some photo's on the site soon (under the photos button, duh) when I find some time.

Take care and all the best.

Final "crack"

September 18, 2006

Today, early morning, I have been to Physiotherapy for the last time. I have been there nine times for the "cracking" of my neck (read more in blog of August).

And I gotta tell you that, although I did not expect it to, it worked! I have had quite a lot of days without headaches lately.

In fact, I should have done physiotherapy way before. But it does feel really good to finally be able to say I haven't got a headache! I will continue to practice the home exercises - just to be sure the headaches stay away.

Amazing. So, if you are experiencing headaches, be sure to go to physiotherapy and have your neck "cracked". You'll love it!

All the best.

Busy times

September 17, 2006

Sorry again for my lack of posting on the blog. Spare time has been rare lately.

Most of the spare time is spend on nice things such as the family picknick and visiting my grandparents. There's also still a lot of people visiting me and Nadine in the new place. So, its nice stuff, but it takes some time...

I hope I find more free time soon so I can update my music library. I haven't downloaded or bought much music lately - although I would call music one of my passions. Hmm, maybe I'll buy the Gnarls Barkley cd sometime soon. I like 'Crazy' and 'Smiley Faces' so the cd should be good right?

Also heard a track by the Calling called "Our Lives". The track itself is not especially outstanding but the lyrics are great. "These are the days worth living. These are the years worth giving. These are the moments, these are the times. Lets make the best out of our lives." How true.

Anyway, my birthday is coming close - so maybe someone will buy me some new music... ; P

All the best and speak soon.

New superhero: Ikea-man

September 10, 2006

Hello again and phew! Thank God its Sunday and I've got some time to relax. Its still been very busy moving into our new place in Den Bosch.

It has also been hectic at my parttime job and at my own company. Actually the own company is doing too bloody good...

I've got so much on my to do list and people waiting at the gates that I am going to have to let some people down. That's really hard to do. Obviously I want to help as many people as I can - but it just isn't possible this time...

Well, at least all the moving is now really done. I've managed to put together so many Ikea-products that I might think about turning superhero and call myself Ikea-man. But then again, Ikea makes its products so every man can put it together... Don't they...

Ah well. Gotta get through these busy times right now and then I can finally enjoy the new place.

All the best.

Moved

September 3, 2006

It's been a hard and long week last week, but now we can finally start living at our own place.

Me and Nadine have moved to the beautiful city of Den Bosch. We have worked very hard last week to put in the floor, furniture and all kinds of stuff. I think I must have hit every finger...

I've also hit my head a lot of times. As some of you may have read before, I have been enduring heavy headaches since a car crash exactly one year ago tomorrow. But actually hitting my head did not affect me at all.

I have been going to physio training a couple of weeks now and it really seems to be working. They've cracked my neck and given me neck-massages. And although I was sceptical, I have to admit now that I think it does work. So, if you are experiencing heavy headaches for a long period of time I can recommend it!

This weekend me and Nadine also had a night out in the new town. A couple of friends of mine were over from England and we had a good time. Really good to see those friends again and it was a nice time to relax a bit for me and Nadine after a hard week's work.

Anyway, I'll keep it short. All the very best!
