Blog March 2006
Not again...
March 27, 2006
The past week I haven't been able to post new entries in the blog because I was ill. The fact that I was ill last month too has surprised me.
Until last month I have almost never missed a week from work. If I used to be ill before, which I hardly ever was, it often was for just a few days. I can only hope this new thing doesn't continue...
Looks like everything is set for me to continue work as of tomorrow. The headaches are almost over so I can look at the computer-screen again. If the sun would finally decide to show now, I think I'd feel better by the minute...
All the best.
The new car
March 17, 2006

And there it is: my new car! Its a Toyota Corolla Linea Sol from 2002. I am really pleased with my new car. The first drives have been such a bliss compared to the rambling and stuttering of the Renault Scénic. Lovin' it!
Have a great weekend!
Busy weekend
March 12, 2006
I've just had a very busy weekend... Me and Nadine have been bowling, had dinner with my sister and her boyfriend and to top it all: I've bought a new car!
Last month you may have read I have only ever had problems with my car after buying a Renault Scenic. Though the car was very spacious, I have been back to the garage every single month since buying it...
So, last month I made the decision to sell the Scenic - even though Renault is able to built cars that beat Michael Schumacher. I've had a couple of Ford's, drove the Renault, but decided to buy myself a Toyota Corolla.
Two simple reasons made me go for another Toyota: 1. I've had one before, the only car I bought and never had complaints about. 2. It saved my life during a crash in September 2005. Okay, Toyota may not be able to beat Schumacher yet, but they definately build my kind of car!
All the best & Take care!
Scrapbook
March 6, 2006
I am currently finishing a 50-page full color scrapbook. I've had lots of emails lately again from people expressing they are inspired by my work (thanks for that by the way!).
The thing that always really bugs me is that what is shown on this website is just the tip of the iceberg. So I've made a scrapbook of my work of the past years. I don't mean just the visuals shown on this website, but also the work I've done for my international big clients, small local clients, magazines, books and so much more... All the work I am proud of will be included.
Once its finished I'm going to try and find a way to get the book printed and offer it through this website - so you can hopefully be even more inspired! I'm currently looking at the costs of getting it printed and such...
Anyway, thanks again for all your emails and support. They are really much appreciated! The great support of this website always makes me feel pretty good.
Take care.
Chilly Spring walk
March 5, 2006
Heya everyone! Hope you've all had a good weekend?! My weekend was pretty good once again.
This weekend we started the search for a new car (see blog February why). Looks like I'm gonna be choosing between a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota MR2. The second would be pretty cool, but maybe not handy for the future...
Me and Nadine have also done a chilly spring walk. The weather over here is really strange, one minute there's snow - the other its all good. So when it wasn't snowing for a bit, we took a walk. It was still a bit chilly though!
Anyway, can't wait for the real spring to set in. Kinda done with the grey weather that comes with winter...
Take care and all the best.
Funny little booklet
March 2, 2006
Anyone who is a native English speaker/reader will have noticed my English is not top notch. But I have bought a little booklet that proves I am not the worst Dutchman trying to speak English.
There's a small booklet called "I always get my sin" that is filled with things Dutch people have tried to say in English. Really interesting and very funny.
Forget your TV weatherman
March 1, 2006
How funny is that?! Back in November or December of last year I predicted to friends and family it would snow in the first week of March.
Today, March 1st, it has snowed over here in the Netherlands! My prediction was way better than any of the TV Weathermen and women. I find it so funny that I predicted the first week and on the first day of March it actually happened!
Actually my prediction was not that lucky. Looking back at 2005 and 2004 it also snowed in the first week of March - which is why I predicted it would also snow in that week this year, beating all the TV Weathermen and women to it.
Next date to watch would be March 15 - I predict the spring will be setting in by then - meaning no minus degrees in the nights from then on.
The photo with this text was made this morning. You can see it has snowed reasonably, I think its 4 or 5 centimetres.
Anyway, take care and all the best!
