Done with Renault
February 26, 2006
My weekend once again ended with something being wrong with my car. Since buying myself a Renault Scenic in September last year I have been back to the garage with it every single month!!! Sometimes even more than once a month!
For a car that is only five years old I find this a disgrace and I have decided to search for a new car. I drove a Toyota Corolla for a couple of years until some idiot crashed into it (also September 2005). When I had bought that car I only had to go back to the garage for the yearly check-up and 1 time for a small problem. Not every single month!
Looking back on that car I now realize just how good it was. So I think I'm out to find myself a new Toyota. And for everyone out there: think twice before buying yourself a Renault Scenic. It costs too much - not just to buy it!!!
Anyway, take care and to all Toyota-drivers: Happy Cruisin'!
Second trip
February 25, 2006
For a second consecutive Friday I have worked at Talpa as a Motion Graphics Designer. The second trip was not exactly as great as the first, but still I think I did well under the circumstances.
No other dates, agreements or anything have been made, so we'll wait and see what happens... And as always you'll be the first to know! ; )
First trip
February 19, 2006
Hello everybody. End of the weekend again, so here's another entry in the blog. My weekend has been good and bad to be honest.
It started really well with a good impression of Talpa. I've been there and worked there last Friday as a Motion Graphics Designer. I will again work there next Friday...
Saturday was also good fun with Nadine. But Saturday-night (just relaxing a bit on the sofa) I endured some pains in the chest. It was just as if my heart produced some extra beats.
I worked really hard and long hours last week, working at Andriessen and Partners and at night on the Project 79 stuff I normally do on Friday - when I was working at Talpa. So it was a week of a lot of stress perhaps and it came out on Saturday night I guess. If it continues I'll visit the doctor.
My Sunday was great fun again and in general I'd say my weekend has been great. I hope your's was too!
All the best. : )
Lose yourself
February 12, 2006
Heya guys! I've had a great weekend once again. Me and Nadine celebrated Valentine already as we won't be together this Tuesday. As I said before, I hate the commercial thought behind it, but any day to celebrate love is a good enough reason for me.
As for the trips to Arnhem and Laren: both went well. Both trips are to be followed up this week actually! I'll be working all week on the stuff I've worked on in Arnhem. It's gonna keep me busy from Monday to Thursday. Friday I'll travel back to Laren where I'll be out to prove myself as a Motion Artist. So I've been listening to the best track ever made by Eminem: Lose Yourself. That track is exactly how I feel right now... Great track!
Anyway, hope your weekend also kicked ass! Talk soon.
Arnhem & Laren
February 9, 2006
The end of this week is going to be a busy one. Or at least it will mean I'll be on the road a lot. So beware!
Today I'll be heading for Arnhem for a project I'm working on - on behalf of my employer Andriessen and Partners. Friday I'll be heading for Laren with more personal motivations.
Even though I am not yet feeling 100% I think I'm going to be able to give it my best in Arnhem and Laren. I hope I can also find some time to buy Nadine something for Valentine...
I know, its commercial stuff. But hey, isn't Valentine's Day a good enough excuse to have a good time, have a nice dinner or anything else? Well, for me personally any excuse will do... : )
Take care, all the best and have yourself a fantastic weekend!
Not that lucky...
February 8, 2006
Sorry it has taken me so long to put another entry in this blog. I've been really ill (even lost my voice!). It actually started February 2nd, but at that point I still thought I could shake it off.
It has taken me some time (about a week), but today I felt good enough to resume working...
:(
Really lucky
February 3, 2006
I'm a thinker, can't help it. I always think things through at least ten times. So to me it has always been odd to find out this website attracts 50.000 visitors every month.
I've just checked the latest updates for December 2005 and January 2006... Again I am totally astounded that even more people have found their way to this website: 70.000 visitors a month! The email traffic has also grown. In general I receive 100 emails a month. That's increased up to 120 a month!
I really wish to express my gratitude to you for visiting my website. Its simply great to find out people find my website useful and inspiring. Everytime I have a down I will remember all you people out there supporting me. You rock! I feel really lucky with you guys supporting me.
Thanks and all the best.
Working on a DVD
February 1, 2006
In exactly one month its celebration time at Project 79, my own company. On March 1 the company will be operating on the multimedia and animation market for 1 year!
Project 79 has had a very good first year and I can only hope this will continue. In our first year we made quite a few Flash animations (for example Jonkergouw), worked on a virtual reality CD-ROM for Philips Medical, defined a new design for a famous book series and on top of it all: produced a 3D animation for a movie (sorry, Dutch link)!
When I started the Project 79 company back a year ago (well, almost a year ago at this point) I never ever expected to do so well. At this point I aim to have a DVD made for the celebrations next month - the DVD being a showcase of the work made so far. I don't know whether I'll make it in time - as its pretty busy at P79 - but I can at least give it a shot...
All the best and take care.
