How long does it take...

November 27, 2005

...to drive from Hooge Mierde to Amersfoort (118 km) when the first day of winter has arrived, bringing along: hail, rain and snow?

It normally takes me 1,5 hour. Last Friday it took me 4 hours! And I was one of the lucky guys because some people had been snowed in for 8 hours or more!

I've seen rain, traffic jams, hail, snow and more traffic jams... Take care.

Bug free!

November 25, 2005

It has been some time since my last message on this site. That's down to me being busy and some bugs hitting my system.

It took me about a week (and a lot of anti-virus software) to get my machine clean but I'm glad it is now up and running clean again and I have purchased some software to keep it clean.

So in case you were wondering - I was down, so more updates will follow shortly... By the way - the virus was found in Chello QuickFix (so Chello subscribers - check your system!).
Take care and all the best.

Interview with Creative Pro

November 16, 2005

Let a Photoshop pro walk you through his creation of a real project - a book cover that joins 2D and 3D elements using often-overlooked Photoshop tools. That's how the interview between Molly Joss and myself starts.

The interview features a tutorial on how the cover for Foundation Flash 8 was made and an interview about client relationships, stock photography and more!

Thank you once again Molly for the interview. Also many thanks go to Pete Aylward, who is working with me on the new Foundation covers (on behalf of the publisher) and allowed me to use it for the interview.

Take care and happy reading...

New Project79 Website

November 11, 2005

As I mentioned earlier this month (see below) I was making a new website for Project 79. This was done because there were some issues with the portfolio.

Actually I think it was for the best. I took the chance to redesign the whole website.

Right now it feels much more creative to me. The portfolio is also not as big anymore, which will hopefully make it easier for clients and prospects to find their way through it.
I think the website has improved, but you're free to take a look and see if you agree with me.
Take care and have a great weekend!

Great weekend

November 6, 2005

Don't know about you but I've had a great weekend. For the first time since the car crash my headaches were not all that bad this weekend and I've had great fun in the casino with my girlfriend Nadine.

We started really well, making a nice profit, but because the night was still young we gambled on a bit.

The profits were gone at the end of the evening, but we managed to save as much as we had put in - so ended the night as we started it - with the money in our wallets. Which I've heard is a pretty good score - not many people leave a casino (after spending 4 hours in it) with that score...

Anyway, hope your weekend was great too. Take care.

New website on the way

November 4, 2005

Hello all. Sorry, but once again I could not resist to put some information on the website about my own company Project 79.

Things are still going really well for me on my own. I've been busy, especially now I am combining my company with a part-time employment at an e-learning company.

Just wanted you guys to be the first to know I'll soon launch a new version of the Project 79 website. I've decided to make it into a website I won't have to change every month or so...

All the best.
