First signs of summer

The past weekend was great over here. The weather was amazingly good, up to 30 degrees, which is a lot for a cold country like the Netherlands.

I've enjoyed the pleasant weather and am no longer as white as I was before. Now you wouldn't say I've been spending too much time behind my PC.

Anyway, today the weather turned bad... But they expect it to be good next weekend... ; )

Finally it seems to be working

Today a mechanic from my internet-provider Chello came over to fix my ongoing problems. It was the sixth mechanic in about a month(!).

The connection has been stable so far, so let's hope for the best. As this mechanic looked like he understood what he was doing I have good hopes. Finally!

Strange that just when you're about to stop using a company's service all of a sudden they send their best mechanic...

New website

Regular visitors will have noticed...the website has changed. Sorry about that. Its just that I felt I could make it into a more personal thing now I've got Project 79 as my professional website.

I will start using this blog from now to write down what has been happening or what has been on my mind. I will also place new photos online from time to time to back the stories I write in this section.

Midgetgolf

For some good old fun we went to play some midgetgolf today. We've been to the "Genneper Parken" which is in Eindhoven.

For a couple of Euros we've played two and a half hours. Really good fun for a fine price. Sorry, guess that ripping customers off by CenterParcs is still bugging me. ; )

Anyway, another day of good fun. Unfortunately tomorrow it is back to work. Tomorrow Chello is here (again) to fix my network problems. Hope they get the job done this time.

Elastiek

Today we've been to Elastiek, a free festival in Hilvarenbeek. The weather was nice, the atmosphere was fantastic, a day of good fun!

We've seen Chumbawamba, but quite frankly they were not what I expected. Apparantly a lot has happened since Tubthumping.

We've seen others too, but I was looking forward to this one. They weren't bad, but not what I expected..

Swimming at Center Parcs

This Saturday we went swimming at the Vossemeren, a recreational parc of CenterParcs. It is in Lommel, a place in Belgium, not too far from where I live.

The swimming was very nice, its a nice parc. The thing that surprised me bigtime is the entrance price. For just some swimming we would have normally paid 15 Euros!

Luckily for us there was a discount fee today. But I remember when it was 7 Guilders (about 3 Euros). In five years time it has become five times as expensive!!!

Bloody-fucking-no-good Euro.

Fifty is the number

What an exciting first week of May. First there was the birthday of my girlfriend on the 30th of April. Then on the 2nd of May my mother turned 50 and on the 4th of May so did my girlfriend's mom.

The 5th of May my parents celebrated both turning 50 this year. Had to help out by carrying chairs, tables, and much more.

It was a good night and I think everyone enjoyed it. Also put some kilometres on my car, because we had to travel back and forth between Amersfoort and Hooge Mierde for all this partying.
