Happy Birthday
April 30, 2005
Today it is Queens-day in the Netherlands. But as I have no connection or feeling for the Dutch royals I'd rather spend my day with Nadine, my girlfriend.
Ofcourse I'd much rather spend my time with her, but today its special, because she will turn 24 today! Through this website I want to say one again: happy birthday! And hopefully there are many more to come.
Love.
First big project finished
April 26, 2005
Yeeha, the very first big project I've made with my own company Project 79 was just finished today! The client was present to approve the final master CD-ROM before it goes to duplication.
This project was running since August 2004. It was then that I laid down the concept for the CD-ROM.
Because the project involved 3D modelling and various comment rounds it has taken a bit longer. But to give something to the audience we had already released a trailer with a sneak peak.
Take care.
Advertorial in local paper
April 22, 2005
Today the new Trompetter was in the mail. The Trompetter is a local newspaper in the region where I live. I decided to place an advertorial in the paper to make people in the region aware there is a new serious multimedia company in the south of The Netherlands.
The article was titled "New Media gets to life at Project 79" and was three columns wide.
All the best.
Aaaargh, Chello!
April 15, 2005
Recently after getting a new modem from my internet supplier Chello (UPC) I have been offline quite often. Today there was someone from Chello (second time) to take a look at the problem (about time if you ask me).
The problem should now be over. Had to do something with where the line enters the house.
The thing I find odd though is that I had a modem for five years before this new one and I never ever had a problem...
Thanks Chello. Yes, that's sarcasm right there...
Fifty!
April 9, 2005
Normally people tend to be a bit down when they turn the big 5-0, don't they? Well, my dad turned 50 today and it is just as if the past 10 years didn't count for him. He looks and acts the same as he did when he turned 40.
Ofcourse we had decorated the house, put an Abraham doll in the garden (as is tradition over here) and basically made sure you could see he turned fifty today.
Happy birthday and I can only hope for many more to come!
Amsterdam again
April 6, 2005
Last year I went to Amsterdam for a job interview. Almost exactly one year later I am there again, again for a job interview.
Me and Nadine have attached a day Amsterdam to the interview as it is a long way from where I live, so going there for one hour would look like a shame.
Ofcourse I was nervous all the time about the interview and yes, Nadine just had to see the shops...
Take care.
